No. 96 Toyota Camry Will Sport “40thAnniversary” TRD Paint Scheme

INDIANAPOLIS (September 4, 2019) – “It’s hard not to get goosebumps as a driver or as a fan,” says Parker Kligerman, driver of the No. 96 TRD 40th Anniversary Toyota Camry at the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway this weekend. “It’s like celebrating 40 years of a brand that has contributed so much to American racing history and celebrating 110 years of racing history at the iconic Brickyard at the same time.”

After posting strong showings at Daytona and Watkins Glen, Kligerman is hoping for another strong showing this Sunday.

“We’re proud to honor TRD’s American racing heritage as the organization continues to build some of the best engines across all of motorsports,” said Kligerman. “This paint scheme honors so many great victories over the years. TRD and Toyota have been involved in all types of racing – from dirt tracks, to the drag strip and pavement ovals – and we can’t wait to see TRD-powered Toyotas in victory lane for years to come.”

Team owner Marty Gaunt’s relationship with TRD dates back to 2004.

“It’s such an honor to highlight TRD’s 40thanniversary on our Camry at Indianapolis Motor Speedway,” said Gaunt. “Indianapolis Motor Speedway might be the most famous racetrack in the entire world. It’s a place that people come to visit and take pictures of when there’s not even a race. So to celebrate TRD by racing in the iconic Brickyard 400 is such an honor.”

The Big Machine Vodka 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway will be televised at 2 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time on Sunday, September 8 on NBC.
